Blue Marlin Rigs were the easiest for me to pick out. I have several other lures that work well on blues but I am positive these two are the best to do the trick for you.

When it comes to blue marlin one point stands out. Short cuts just don't work. You'll wait and wait for your chance, so you need to be ready when the moment comes. Everything has to be well thought out and rigged perfectly or your odds are reduced significantly.

My two blue marlin rigs will stack the odds much stronger in your favor but like the best of anything it all comes at a price. I didn't shortcut anything for these two rigs. They have the best lure, best leader, best hook, best teasers, best design, best personal rigging.....well you get the idea. If you are serious about wanting the best for a big blue, this will give you a shot at a dream.

With both these rigs you will be targeting blue marlin. The "by-catch" can often be monster meat fish. I can't tell you how many times my customers have scored catagory winning money fish while trolling these for their dream marlin!

Blue Marlin Rig #1 The Agitator, has been outstanding for several years as my best blue marlin lure. Something about it really seems to "agitate" big fish. This one is rigged for big fish with 15 foot 200# Fluoro-Carbon leader, and a 7691S 10/0 hook. I've also added a series of four Zingers rigged to "shower" in front of the lure. This rig is designed to be fished with a horse or select ballyhoo. Usually this rig fishes best when it is no further back then about 100 feet to keep it popping and the Zingers showering properly.

Blue Marlin Rig #2 This is another rig that catches big fish. In fact, it is very rare that a small fish even touches this lure. This MJ is rigged with 15' of 200# Fluoro-Carbon and has a shower of four Zingers popping in front of the lure. It has a cable rigged single 10/0 Mustad Sea Demon SS hook. This rig is not designed to have a ballyhoo added and is very effective even mixed in with a ballyhoo spread.

You won't believe the "smoke trail" that is behind this rig. It's like a road map for the fish to follow right to the lure. It was really hard to decide whether this should be listed for wahoo or blues because it works well on both. This lure can be run anywhere in the spread at every speed and is even extremely effective as a shotgun lure.
